In an earlier blog I mentioned my sister Marguerite who after mysteriously missing for thirty years, was located in an unmarked grave in southern California. How this astonishing turn of events occurred is a story for my sister Eileen to tell, it has not only significantly impacted our family, but, I believe has been pivotal to the journey of our entire lineage.
According to the late Carl Sagan, we are all part of this cosmic symphony of particles and light dancing together, energy that is never destroyed, only transformed. This is in line with a school of thought that postulates that the human form only appears to be separate from each other, the key word here being appears. Just imagine that each of us is a manifestation of beliefs, experiences and decisions inherited from our lineage. In other words, an embodiment of energy in the form of humans, living a life of a certain trajectory because of decisions made by our ancestors. Dr. Judith Rich, in her blog titled; “Healing the Wounds of Your Ancestors,” reports that some Native Americans believe that our actions affect seven generations in both directions.
It has become apparent that the current generations of our lineage are on the front lines communicating from the old wounds of their ancestors. When anyone of us makes a change in our personal trajectory that has been formed by old limiting beliefs and conditions, we change the energy of our preceding lineage, altering the trajectory of future generations. As Dr. Judith Rich stated; “transforming the energy now, through you, as you. You are the one who can heal the wounds, forgive old enemies, shift conditioning and beliefs, and release pain that held preceding generations captive for centuries.”
This privilege and distinction is also a great responsibility that will be rejected by some of us and embraced by others. We have the opportunity to heal the past, present and future of the perpetuating wounds, ills, limiting beliefs and conditions. There is an awareness growing that those who choose to do so will bring elimination of these ills from prior generations, setting the stage for future generations.
We all have a purpose with free will to take it or leave it, when any one of us chooses the light, it reflects outward to others helping them to find their way and bring healing. Carl Sagan believed that “we are all star stuff.” Of course, to fulfill this purpose means becoming thoroughly honest with yourself, letting go of denial, pretending and avoiding. Changing your very essence, right down to your DNA.
Think about the pain you carry that came from your lineage, and what changes you might make lighting the way for those who follow.
The following is part of a quote from George Bernard Shaw;
This is the true joy in life, being used for a purpose recognized by yourself as a mighty one; the being a force of nature instead of a feverish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy.
I am of the opinion that my life belongs to the whole community, and as long as I live it is my privilege to do for it whatever I can.
I want to be thoroughly used up; when I die, for the harder I work, the more I live. I rejoice in life for its own sake.
